Christoph started his professional career in San Francisco's early 90's, shooting musicians for a variety of magazines and album covers. His interest in fashion led him to switch directions and he soon found himself immersed in the world of editorial and advertising... living and working over the past 20 years out of Paris, Istanbul, Berlin, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles.
Over this time he continued shooting personal works but found that the business of fashion/advertising was taking too much time away from his true passions. Incidentally he has been focusing his lens on projects such as the beauty of complex patterns found in both nature and urban environments. This can be best represented in the works "MITSUME I & II" shot in Tokyo, fall 2013 & 2014, "PROTEUS" in Los Angeles, spring of 2015... and most recently "GLACE", in the Swiss Alps.
Was quickly realized in his late teens, through arts such as painting and drawing... he "spent months building a canvas, never to apply any paint." Over the years he has worked with a variety of mediums from paper to stone.
His works are "...done with a philosophy, to let the form show itself through hours of working through whatever moods might prevail at any given time, always searching for... fluidity, balance and a certain sense of calm."
